Formati, a newly launched brand under the JMM Group, has released its first collection spanning living, dining, and bedroom categories. The collection emphasises minimalist aesthetics, material traceability, and modular configurations aimed at the upper-tier interior design market.

'Our intention is deeply rooted in the importance of providing a unique and exceptional fusion of materials that serve a purpose beyond mere aesthetics,' the Formati team stated. 'When we conceive a piece, we are certain at that point, that we are producing something that will be part of somebody's dreams.'
The brand's entry into the sector focuses on defined silhouettes and refined surfaces, integrating Italian, Scandinavian, and Japanese design references. Formati reports its manufacturing draws upon JMM Group's long-standing access to raw materials including wood, marble, stone, and select metal finishes.
In the living area, the Watson modular sofa system, Lebron coffee table set, and Pieter poufs form a coordinated offering. The modular layout accommodates hybrid environments where lounging and social gathering converge. 'Each piece must tell a story, and all our pieces of furniture tell a tale carved from the quintessence of the minimalistic,' said a spokesperson for Formati.

For dining zones, the Miyagi table and Aslam chairs form the central set, designed around shared experience and spatial anchoring. These are complemented by the Portman sideboard, which is described as a piece that 'adds value and exquisiteness to any ambiance' through its minimal form and emphasis on craftsmanship.
The bedroom segment features the Skarsgard bed, Lars bench, and Vikander nightstand. Each is defined by simplicity and tonal material palettes, with a focus on restorative use and comfort. The brand characterises the Skarsgard bed as an example of 'the balance between sleek Scandinavian design and the perpetual lightness of premium materials.'

Formati's naming draws on a personal narrative, an amalgamation of "For" and "Mati", the latter referencing the founder's family dog. While this element offers an emotive origin for the brand, the company positions its operations within a framework that prioritises design research, material durability, and a tailored service model. 'We are convinced that the fuel of a company for sure is the will to research and evolve, both as a company and as human beings,' Formati stated.
The brand's rollout appears to target high-end residential and hospitality applications, with product typologies that accommodate specification flexibility and personalisation options. No expansion plans have yet been disclosed, though Formati signals an intention to remain aligned with evolving European interior trends and long-term material viability.
