At EUROLUCE 2025, Italian artisanal brand Bronzetto unveiled Tra le Nuvole, a poetic collection of bronze and alabaster lamps and tables that reimagined the role of light within interior spaces. The collection combined traditional craftsmanship with an innovative design approach, delivering a luxurious experience rooted in movement, perception, and material contrast.
Tra le Nuvole, meaning "Among the Clouds", was more than a product showcase; it presented a new philosophy of how objects could exist in space. 'An innovative collection of bronze lamps and tables that effectively redefines the concept of light in space. A dynamic system in which lamp and table as a support base alternate, changing roles according to perception and use.'
Bronzetto's design team embraced the theme of lightness and transformation. 'The innovative approach that characterised Bronzetto's new collection was once again an invitation to hover, to let yourself involved in a play of oscillations and reflections, where light becomes as weightless as air and design dialogues with movement.'
Each piece in the collection was designed to interact with its environment through subtle motion. 'Each element of the Tra le Nuvole collection was designed to gently move through space, interacting with the environment, coming to life from the alternation between the solidity of brass and the ethereal purity of alabaster.'
Visual and tactile contrasts were central to the concept. 'Luminous and metallic spheres balanced each other in an oscillating motion, evoking the hypnotic rocking of a swing suspended in time. Movement was the protagonist of the collection and invited the user to have an active relationship with the object that was articulated on a perceptive basis starting with the use of materials, shapes and colours.'
Lighting played a pivotal role in shaping atmosphere. 'Alabaster, with its natural translucency, filtered the light source, returning a soft and enveloping illumination, perfect for creating warm and suggestive atmospheres. The burnished and hand-waxed brass, on the other hand, with its warm and vibrant shades, gave the elements a character of three-dimensional imperfection, effectively narrating the material and the gesture of a craftsman.'
Bronzetto offered more than lighting, it created an emotional, immersive experience. 'More than just lamps or small tables: Tra le Nuvole was a sensory experience. The story of a dream took shape, an idea that challenged stability and invited to experience light in a new way: not anchored, but free to float.'
The collection comprised three vertically arranged models, each uniting alabaster globes with open or closed circular trays and totem-like brass spheres. 'The elements were stacked in a balanced rhythm, acting as a striking focal point in any environment: a living room, bedroom, bathroom or public space, indoor or outdoor.'
With Tra le Nuvole, Bronzetto continued to push the boundaries of material storytelling and artisanal design, inviting users to experience light as a living, moving element.
