Natco Home expands with Orian Rugs acquisition

Natco Home, a long-standing U.S. manufacturer of flooring and home décor, has acquired Orian Rugs from its parent company SP Orian, LLC. The financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Michael Litner, president of Natco Home, noted that Natco and Orian were the only remaining domestic rug manufacturers in the United States. 'We are excited and proud to incorporate the Orian Rugs brand into the Natco Home fold,' said Litner, adding that the acquisition will help strengthen ties with existing customers and reach new ones.

Founded in 1917 in Rhode Island, Natco Home is now under fourth-generation family leadership. The company maintains domestic operations in Dalton, Georgia and Sanford, Maine, with a broad distribution network across North America. Natco pairs its domestic manufacturing strength with international partnerships.

Orian Rugs, founded in 1979, is based in Anderson, South Carolina, where it operates a 730,000-square-foot facility. The company focuses on producing woven decorative rugs for national, specialty and online retailers, and also manufactures specialised yarns for use in the furniture, home and automotive sectors.

Sage Park, a global acquisitions group, purchased Orian's full operations in 2022, prior to this latest acquisition by Natco.

The merger brings together two of the few remaining domestic rug producers in the U.S., positioning Natco Home for expanded production capabilities and increased market influence.
