A game-changer in Indian and global design:

Nilaya Anthology opens in Mumbai

Asian Paints, India's leading name in paints and home décor, has unveiled Nilaya Anthology, a 100,000 sq. ft. design destination in the heart of Mumbai. Positioned as the country's first and largest international design space, Nilaya Anthology redefines the retail experience by seamlessly merging global and Indian craftsmanship, art, and innovation in an immersive format.

An extension of Asian Paints' luxury brand Nilaya, this curated destination brings together premium home décor, furniture, kitchenware, bathware, collectible craft, and design objects in a thoughtfully curated experience. 'Curated experience rather than just transactions drive consumer journeys. Nilaya Anthology is a movement in design and storytelling that brings alive this philosophy. The custom-designed space marks a significant moment in the brand's journey to redefine luxury home décor and collectible design,' said Amit Syngle, CEO and MD of Asian Paints.

Curated under the direction of celebrated design expert Pavitra Rajaram, the space embodies a blend of heritage and innovation. 'We have created a space where India's rich heritage of craft meets the finest contemporary design from around the world, offering an immersive experience that is both deeply personal and globally relevant,' said Rajaram.

International design comes to India
Nilaya Anthology marks the Indian debut of Nilufar, the globally acclaimed gallery founded by Nina Yashar. This rare collaboration brings over 40 years of collectible design to Indian audiences for the first time. The expansive international line up also includes design icons such as Cassina, Ginori 1735, House of Finn Juhl, Zafferano, Living Divani, Delcourt Collection, and LEMA, known for their timeless design and craftsmanship.

A journey through design
The venue takes visitors on a sensorial journey with themed spaces such as:

  • The Candle Library, showcasing scents from both homegrown and global candle brands.
  • The Dining Room, offering a curated collection of global ceramics and pottery, including exclusive collaborations.
  • The Cellar, a world of collectible glass from antique auctions and contemporary studios.

Art and culture at the forefront
In a landmark debut, the Sabyasachi Art Foundation presents its first public exhibition featuring Atish Mukherjee, whose work reinterprets the Bengal School of Art. In addition, Mumbai-born artist Priya Kambli opens her first Indian photography show exploring themes of diaspora and memory.

Design innovation is also highlighted through Vikram Goyal Studio's exclusive pieces, including The Silken Passage, Thar Console, and The Shaded Graphite Cabinet, each representing intricate craftsmanship and narrative design.

A creative hub for professionals
Nilaya Anthology is more than a store, it's a creative ecosystem. The Co-Working Space offers a collaborative environment for architects and designers, while the Materials Lab allows professionals to engage with premium materials and surface innovations for prototyping and ideation.

Nature meets design
The Orangery, a lush green architectural highlight within the store, offers exotic botanicals, planters, and a restaurant that serves as a venue for design-led events, providing a rare green retreat in Mumbai's urban landscape.

Visitor Information
Nilaya Anthology is open daily from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM at Peninsula Corporate Park, Lower Parel, Mumbai.
