Mathieu van der Poel, front man of Alpecin-Deceuninck, enjoys a luxurious lifestyle in addition to his sporting successes. The Dutch cyclist boasts a stylish villa in 's-Gravenwezel, north of Antwerp, and a country house on Spain's Costa Blanca.
His Belgian home, decorated by Devos Interieur, reflects a combination of modern design and homely comfort. Van der Poel and his partner Roxanne Bertels took advice on the interior design and expressed great satisfaction with the cooperation. Despite this beautiful home, the rider spends most of the year in Spain, where he enjoys the pleasant climate and optimal training conditions.

In Moraira, a coastal town near Valencia, Van der Poel found his ideal residence in 2021 to prepare for the cycling season. He says he trains more intensely and efficiently in Spain than in Belgium, which has contributed to his recent sporting achievements. Van der Poel considers his investment in Spain one of the best decisions of his career.
As he prepares for the upcoming classics, the question remains whether he will participate in cyclocross again. For now, the focus remains on road races and further sporting successes.
