XXXLutz Romania plans expansion and digital growth in 2025

In 2025, XXXLutz Romania aims to continue its strong market presence with a strategic expansion plan, combining physical store openings and an enhanced digital presence. The company, part of the XXXLutz Group, operates two stores in Bucharest and is committed to growing in major cities across Romania. Frédéric Lamy, CEO of XXXLutz Romania, emphasised Romania's importance in the company's global strategy due to its high demand for affordable, quality home furnishings.

The Romanian market, with a retail furniture sector worth approximately 3.5 billion lei in 2023, is a key focus for XXXLutz. The company's brands, including Mömax and XXXLutz, rank among the top furniture retailers in the country. 'Romania is a key market for us, with significant development potential,' Lamy said, highlighting the group's long-term vision. In addition to expanding physical stores, XXXLutz Romania plans to boost its online platform, which has already exceeded initial sales expectations.

The group's online strategy has contributed to steady growth in e-commerce, with Lamy noting that the platform surpassed the target of 5% online sales revenue in its second year. Looking forward, XXXLutz Romania intends to correct any misconceptions about being an exclusive brand, stressing that it offers a wide range of products to suit all budgets. As part of its expansion, the company also aims to strengthen its workforce and improve customer satisfaction through enhanced services. Lamy remains optimistic about 2025, expecting continued success driven by a balanced expansion approach.
