The Søgaard family has successfully completed the generational transition of the window manufacturer Idealcombi, with cousins Martin and Mikael Søgaard now owning 100% of the company. This marks the culmination of a strategic plan that began over a decade ago.
Martin and Mikael Søgaard.
Idealcombi was founded in 1973 by brothers Henning and Bent Søgaard, who made their first windows in their parents' barn in Thy. At that time, the company was called Ideal Vinduet.
Idealcombi employs approximately 550 people across locations in Hurup, Aarhus, Copenhagen, and the UK. The company produces Denmark's best windows and doors at its over 100,000 m² factory in Hurup.
The product range includes several series of doors and windows, from traditional Danish windows to modern minimalist windows for large apartment buildings in central London. However, all Idealcombi windows share a common feature: they are of very high quality and exceptionally energy-efficient.
