Fittings manufacturer Dornbracht has been honoured with an award from the Society of British & International Interior Design (SBID). The sculptural Aquahalo experience shower impressed with its innovative design and was hailed a Global Winner in the Bathroom Product category at the SBID International Design Awards 2024. With this internationally recognised award, Dornbracht strengthens its position as a pioneer in the bathroom and wellness sector.
The design of Aquahalo, which was developed by designer Michael Neumayr in the style of a classic crystal chandelier, combines three soothing jet types – including a light and water spot integrated into the ceiling.
The Society of British & International Interior Design promotes the interior design profession and sets standards that shape the industry. The SBID International Design Awards, which receive entries from all over the world every year, make a significant contribution to this by recognising outstanding design achievements in the interior sector. The winners of the competition emerge from a three-stage evaluation process, 90 percent of which is based on the assessment of a jury of experts. The remaining 10 percent is determined by a public vote.
'The SBID International Design Awards is an opportunity to give excellent ideas the recognition they deserve,' says Craig Johnstone, Sales and Marketing Director, Dornbracht UK. He continues: 'We are proud that Aquahalo has won over both judges and end users, and that our mission to actively contribute to wellbeing through design innovation has been recognised on this prestigious stage.'
