This prominent French retailer has acquired full ownership of Drawer

A leading home equipment distributor in France has completed its acquisition of Drawer, increasing its stake from 70% to 100%. This move is part of the company BUT's strategy to enhance its digital presence and consolidate its omnichannel capabilities. Drawer, a recognised player in online furniture sales, complements BUT's extensive network of over 340 physical stores and its website, which offers over 350,000 products.

With this acquisition, Thomas Thumerelle has been appointed as CEO of Drawer. Thumerelle, who co-founded the successful e-commerce site Motoblouz.com, brings over twenty years of experience in the online retail sector. His leadership is expected to drive Drawer's growth by leveraging synergies with But, particularly in logistics and product offerings.

Founded thirteen years ago by Valérie and Guillaume Spriet, Drawer has established itself as a key player in the French and Belgian furniture markets, known for its designer and accessible furniture.

As Drawer transitions to this new phase under Thumerelle, the company aims to continue its growth trajectory and enhance its market presence. Drawer has announced on its LinkedIn page: 'With fresh ideas and renewed energy, we're ready to take on the next chapter of our development. We look forward to shaping the future of Drawer together and can't wait to see what the next 13 years will bring. Cheers to new beginnings!'
