Poltronesofà has appointed Cristian Biasoni as its new CEO to lead the upholstery retail group, which also owns ScS. This announcement comes after reports of significant changes in leadership, following Poltronesofà's acquisition of UK-based upholstery retailer ScS.

Biasoni, who has extensive experience in managing large consumer businesses, previously served as CEO of Chef Express, an €800 million chain of eateries in Italy. His appointment marks a significant shift for Poltronesofà, as it has been overseen by owner Renzo Ricci until now.
Based in Emilia Romagna, Poltronesofà operates retail stores across several countries, including France, Belgium, Switzerland, Cyprus, Malta, and the U.K. There are plans to rebrand ScS under the Poltronesofà name, though this has not been officially confirmed yet.
Biasoni's arrival follows a wave of departures among key executives at ScS, including commercial director James Heese and corporate services director Marie Liston, who recently left the company. While there has been no official comment on whether Biasoni will oversee the U.K. operation, his leadership is seen as a pivotal step in strengthening the brand's presence in the market. The company is poised for a new era of growth and integration under his guidance.
