Vincent Sheppard bought warehouse in US with support from bank

Vincent Sheppard, the Flemish specialist in the traditional Lloyd Loom technique, which involves weaving paper around metal wire, has acquired a warehouse in High Point, North Carolina, with financial support from KBC Bank USA. This strategic investment will enable the company to further expand its operations in the US and meet growing demand faster.

The purchase of the High Point warehouse is crucial to Vincent Sheppard's growth ambitions in the US, where the company currently generates only 5% of its sales. The new warehouse will serve as a logistics centre for furniture production and distribution and provides opportunities to build a local sales team focused on the US market.

Jos Destrooper, Managing Director of Vincent Sheppard, emphasises the potential of the US market and the differences in consumer preferences. "Americans like wickerwork and tend towards more classic styles," Destrooper explained to De Tijd. "E-commerce is more developed here, which means we always need to have sufficient stock for our online collections."

KBC Bank USA is playing a key role in this expansion. The bank not only provides the necessary financial resources, but also has a local team that understands the specific needs of Belgian companies.
