Tanning, polishing, sewing with over 300 colours and more and than 15 available varieties stored at their warehouse, the brand can satisfy any demand from the market.
Different kinds of manufacturing are carried out according to different needs and types of product. Particularly for the 2024 collection, the leather upholstery is coupled with a special "cuoio effect" technique. Firstly, the leather is thinned out to decrease its thickness and guarantee the finished product's quality. Each cut is then thoroughly inspected with a caliber to guarantee the surface's uniformity and flawlessness. With special machinery, an artisan will polish the edges and afterwards, the leather will be stitched with equally specialised machines under the supervision of an experienced worker to ensure quality. The edge-lacquering is also very delicate and is carried out either with a dedicated machine or completely by hand.
The final effect is seen in the tailored cover of the new Vogue Cuoio bed designed by Stefano Conficconi, with its discreet albeit powerful charm given by the soft leather-covered headboard and the minimal essence of the base. Similarly, the Helix coffee tables with a glass top – in extra-clear or bronze finish – showcase a metal base also covered in leather with "cuoio effect", available in Soffio, Setanil and Natural Velour.
cierre1972's craftsmanship, which has made artisanal leather goods a distinctive sign of excellence, is also expressed through another unique technique: a proper "leather fabric" created by manually interweaving strips (already polished through the above steps) according to a precise pattern. A refined manufacture that also enriches the new Jared bed by Maurizio Manzoni with interwoven leather in "cuoio" finish, available in Soffio, Setanil and Natural Velour.
The same craft embellishes Dama, also by Maurizio Manzoni, "baskets" that, with a combination of materials, become comfortable poufs or containers closed by wooden or travertine surfaces.
