A former employee of the Danish design company Fritz Hansen has been sentenced for stealing and selling lamps valued at over DKK 132,000.
He claimed in court that he had taken used lamps intended for destruction after the company received them back due to customer complaints. He then repaired the lamps and sold them for DKK 1,700-1,800 each. The theft occurred while he was employed at Fritz Hansen, known for its iconic Danish design pieces.

The court in Hillerød sentenced the man to a four-month suspended prison term and 100 hours of community service. Additionally, he was ordered to repay DKK 132,000 to the company for the stolen lamps.
