Despite the rise, the number remains at a low level. During the June-August 2024 period, the total number of forced sales was 339, nearly unchanged from the March-May 2024 period, which recorded 341 forced sales.

Most single-family houses at forced auction
Single-family houses are the property type most often ending up in foreclosure. In 2024, 71 percent of all foreclosures involved single-family houses. Since the statistics began in 1979, single-family homes have consistently accounted for over half of the properties listed for foreclosure each year. However, this trend must be viewed in the context that single-family houses make up about half of all properties in Denmark.
