UK company takes measures to assist former employees

A UK company has taken measures to assist former employees and customers affected by the recent collapse of The Floor Room. The Floor Room, owned by Nestware, went into administration earlier this month, leading to the loss of 200 jobs.

In response to the situation, John Lewis, the company that had a partnership with The Floor Room, has committed to offering support to these former staff members. This includes providing practical assistance, such as helping with CV writing and offering potential job opportunities within John Lewis itself.

Additionally, John Lewis has promised to act as a 'safety net' for customers who may be financially impacted by The Floor Room's collapse. While customers are encouraged to first seek refunds through administrators PwC or their credit card companies, John Lewis has assured that it will step in to ensure customers receive their money back if other options are unavailable.
