Some of the best-loved trends from Salone del Mobile

The 2024 Salone del Mobile Milano unveiled a range of innovative trends. The event highlighted new furnishings, a commitment to environmental stewardship, and a focus on convivial spaces and integrated kitchens. Here are some of the best-loved trends from the international fair:

Sustainability
Brands adopted eco-friendly practices and used natural materials, underscoring environmental responsibility. Danish brand Matek was one of these, collaborating with Patricia Urquiola, introduced the Alder Collection, utilising recycled coffee shells and biodegradable plastic.

Emphasis on comfort
The fair highlighted comfort and texture through plush, inviting furniture. A good example would be The Squash armchair by Faye Toogood for Poltrona Frau.

Seamless kitchens
The integration of kitchen appliances into overall design was a notable trend. Gaggenau's Essential Induction hob, seamlessly integrated into Dekton countertops, and V-ZUG's CG Cucina cabinets, blending luxury with functionality, were key highlights.

Relaxed dining
A trend towards more relaxed dining emerged, with furniture designs reflecting a shift toward casual, comfortable dining experiences.
