A British flooring manufacturer has expanded its Form collection with authentic wood and stone looks that capture the natural character of real wood and stone. By studying the minute details of natural wood and stone, the Amtico design team has managed to create a stunning palette of tones and textures that mimic distinctive patterns formed by nature, such as grain formation and weathering.
Wood and stone looks
The updated Form collection has been complemented by 18 oak wood looks and 2 stone designs that reflect the changing trends in real wood and stone. In doing so, the characteristic features and natural imperfections of real wood and stone are not avoided but rather emphasised, such as prominent grains, knots and cracks. The various new wood designs exude the natural character and genuine charm of oak, ranging from light Scandinavian-inspired shades and warm honey and gold accents to rustic wood textures and aged and weathered looks.
The stone designs in the Form collection have a smooth surface texture reminiscent of fine ceramic, creating a clean, authentic look with a natural-looking finish. The new Ammonite, a light stone look with a minimalist design, and the new Char, a stone design with a classic slate look, nicely complement the four already existing stone designs in the collection.
Striking laying patterns
Besides the usual laying patterns such as herringbone or half-stone bond, special laying patterns have been developed for both the wood and stone designs that show off the specific details of wood and stone beautifully. For the wood designs, these are Chevron, Basket Weave, Broad Weave (new), Small Parquet and Large Parquet. For the stone designs also Small Parquet and Large Parquet and the new Pavestone laying pattern. Ideal for creating a distinctive design with a striking natural floor in larger commercial spaces.
Suitable for commercial spaces
By combining the look of real wood and stone with the practical properties of high-quality LVT, Amtico Form is an ideal alternative to using real wood and stone in commercial spaces. The floors have a top layer thickness of 0.7 mm (PU) with an additional Quantum Guard Elite coating that provides antimicrobial protection. This hard-wearing and stain-resistant finish also provides the beautiful matted look with realistic appearance. Furthermore, Form planks and tiles are easy to lay, clean and maintain. In addition, Form is produced using only phthalate-free and organic plasticisers and is suitable for projects built in compliance with BREEAM, WELL or LEED.
