Maersk has announced adjustments to its peak season surcharges (PSS), effective from mid-February onwards. Notably, the Danish ocean carrier is reducing PSS rates for shipments from China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan to Kenya. Specifically, the surcharge for all 20-foot dry containers is set at $150 USD, while for 40-foot and 45-foot high dry containers, it stands at $200 USD.

In addition, Maersk is introducing a new Peak Season Surcharge for shipments worldwide to French Polynesia, starting July 15. The surcharge rates vary depending on container size: $300 USD for all 20-foot containers and $600 USD for both 40-foot and 45-foot high dry containers.
Effective August 1, the same PSS will apply to shipments from the United States, American Samoa, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam, Colombia, and Taiwan to French Polynesia. These updates reflect Maersk's response to ongoing logistical challenges and fluctuating demand patterns in international shipping routes during the peak season.
