La Grange has been cooperative with authorities investigating irregular transactions involving Steinhoff's subsidiaries like Conforama and Mattress Firm. His lawyer affirmed his commitment to the legal process.
The National Prosecuting Authority and Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation issued arrest warrants for Jooste and Grobler in connection with Steinhoff's 2017 downfall, prompting Jooste's alleged suicide on March 21 upon learning of the warrants.
This development unfolds amidst ongoing scrutiny of Steinhoff's collapse, marking another chapter in the legal fallout surrounding one of South Africa's largest corporate scandals.
