UK homeware in-store sales increase by 13%

Homeware in-store sales jumped by 13% in the UK, despite overall high street homeware sales remaining in negative figures. According to the latest BDO High Street Sales Tracker, total like-for-like (LFL) sales rose by 4.68% for the week ending June 9, 2024.

In-store homeware LFL sales surged by +13.95%, rebounding from a -4.52% decline in the same week last year. This marks the category's eighth positive result in 2024 and its highest performance since mid-August 2023.

Total in-store LFL sales increased by +3.32%, following a +5.39% rise for the same week last year. Meanwhile, total non-store LFL sales climbed by +4.45%, up from a +6.56% increase for the same week last year, marking the channel's sixth consecutive positive result.
