The latest Vincent Van Duysen collection for Zara Home, Collection 03, attempts to create a modern sanctuary. The new collection also revisits some of Van Duysen's iconic designs and works with natural materials, such as oak, linen and ash. 'In the collections, lines showcase a dynamic interplay, shifting between assertiveness and a softer, supple quality,' he says. 'When it comes to things you want to touch and to hold, a certain material roughness is critical to their character, the slight irregularities in the silhouette and the soft, weathered grain of the wood. These details bring a sensoriality to the table. I enjoy being a "storyteller" and creating an emotional connection with a space. The experience, therefore, has to offer something unexpected. The collection consists of several pieces, including a daybed, chaise, rug and several decorative pieces.
