Otto launches Live Shopping on Apple Vision Pro

Just in time for the German launch of the Apple Vision Pro on July 12, Otto, Germany's largest online shop, is expanding its live shopping offering – with an in-house developed app for Apple's new spatial computer.

With 'Otto Live Shopping for Apple Vision Pro', customers can experience numerous products in 3D right in front of their eyes at live shopping shows via augmented reality (AR) before they buy them. To start with, Otto is cooperating with renowned partners such as the Lego brand and Miele, who will provide 3D models of selected products. Otto Advertising is responsible for the production and marketing of the new live shopping offer.

The 'Otto Live Shopping for Apple Vision Pro' app has been specially developed for intuitive operation via the Apple Vision Pro. Users can navigate through the shows at will, view products in 3D and buy immediately if they wish. Otto then delivers, depending on the availability of goods, within one to two working days to any desired address within Germany.

At the launch of the Apple Vision Pro on July 12 in Germany, the new Otto app will be available free of charge in the Apple Vision Pro App Store. The app was developed in-house by Otto Group Digital Consulting and integrates the Movex Live Shopping software from Otto Group Solution Provider (OSP).

'With OTTO Live Shopping for Apple Vision Pro, we are setting a new benchmark in German online retail. Our customers can now not only experience products live, ask questions about the items and buy them directly online, but also view and place them virtually in their own four walls thanks to AR technology,' explains Jörg Heinemann, Innovation Evangelist at OTTO.
