The collaboration between Illulian and the newborn MC+ brand represents the quintessence of Made in Italy design, celebrating its important heritage of style, know-how, and savoir-faire. The result is the new Orbis rug, a masterpiece by designer duo Mattia Biagi and Cardenio Petrucci, inspired by desert landscapes and the debris left behind by storms.
The reference to nature is clear from the rug's name, which literally means 'globe' in Latin, while the design is reminiscent of a natural landscape as seen from a satellite, with shades evoking streams of water and mountainous relief seen from above.
The vibrant colours and dynamic brushstrokes symbolically celebrate the circle of life and the concept of rebirth.
