The UK manufacturing division of Bensons for Beds, a retailer of beds and mattresses, has reported a drop in sales. According to the latest accounts for the year ending 30 September 2023, total sales decreased by 1.7%, from £44.8 million in 2022 to £44 million.
Pre-tax profit was £1.6 million, down from £2 million the previous year.
On the other hand, Bensons' retail division recently reported total sales of £257.5 million, an increase of 7.5% from £239.4 million in 2022. EBITDA profit was just over £1.5 million, a significant improvement from a loss of £15.4 million in the previous period.
