The UK based bedding group: Raskelf Group has begun a significant factory expansion, which is expected to boost its bedding production capacity by over 30%. The current facility in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire, which produces up to 3,000 mattresses, toppers, and sleeping bags weekly, will be expanded by 16,000 square feet across two floors.

This capital project represents a £1.2 million investment for the innovative sleep company, which gained fame on BBC's Dragons' Den.
Acquired in 2019, the four-acre site currently includes a 28,000 square foot factory and an additional 12,000 square foot office and showroom block. The original factory was fully renovated after the group's acquisition. However, due to significant business growth, an expansion is now necessary to elevate operations.
This capacity increase is the latest development for Raskelf Group, which announced in March the consolidation of its various business interests, including the Duvalay brand, under one umbrella organization. There are no plans to move its cot mattress manufacturing division, Nursery Connections, from its base in Corby, Northamptonshire.
The new factory extension is expected to be completed in October.
