Björn Bryngelson, Acting Head of Klarna Sweden, has emphasized the company's commitment to maintaining a high standard. According to him, the majority of Klarna's over half a million global merchants are reputable and should not be affected. He says Klarna aims to continue supporting small businesses, acknowledging its role in the start-up culture and the development of e-commerce in Sweden.
For existing smaller traders using Klarna's payment options, there should be no immediate changes. However, new merchants may experience delays in verification as Klarna ensures they adhere to proper business practices.
