The Canadian furniture retailer Article has recalled thousands of its Spin swivel chairs. Although there have been no reported injuries, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has received 190 reports of chair bases breaking.
The recall pertains to Spin swivel chairs upholstered in gray fabric, featuring gold-coloured steel swivel legs, and available in ivory, orange, and blue fabrics as well. These chairs measure approximately 32.5 inches tall, 32 inches deep, and 30.5 inches wide. Around 4,500 units were sold in the U.S. and 140 in Canada.
Manufactured in Vietnam and imported by Trademango Solutions, operating as Article of Canada, these chairs were exclusively sold on article.com from July 2021 to June 2023, priced at around $700.
