'Production of tubular furniture significantly increased, partly thanks to European support'

Trubna Mebel processes up to 45 tons of metal monthly for furniture production

In the Bulgarian city of Dobrich, Trubna Mebel assembles about 3000 chairs monthly, the majority of which are shipped to Italy as part of the so-called Italian Range. This constitutes a crucial aspect of the company's operations, which processes 35 to 45 tons of metal monthly, producing approximately 15,000 chairs, alongside tables, consoles, frames, and beds. Spokesperson Herman van der Kolk of Bulgaria Connected shares this.

Supported by the European Recovery and Resilience Plan, Trubna Mebel has received approval for a project worth BGN 930,000, nearly half a million euros. This project includes the installation of a powder coating facility and a welding robot, as part of the transition towards a circular economy.

The company currently exports 97% of its tubular furniture production to foreign markets, mainly on a made-to-order basis and under the brand names of foreign partners. However, Trubna Mebel has recently also focused on developing its own furniture brand, resulting in the introduction of over 50 new products, including chairs and tables, under the brand name Voxoli.

With two renovated production facilities in Dobrich, each spanning 9,000 square meters, and two photovoltaic installations, Trubna Mebel is committed to sustainability and growth. In 2022, the company reported a revenue of BGN 6.49 million, with a profit of BGN 150,000.

Owned by the brothers Galin and Diyan Gospodinov, the company employs 60 people in the production of tubular furniture and an additional 350 people in the trading company.
