Fiam Italia continues to explore glass at Salone del Mobile

Fiam Italia has always had a truly suggestive and engaging vision of the use of glass, which is masterfully forged into magnetic design products, emblems of an approach that enhances the simplicity and timeless elegance of its nature.

Masters of a cutting-edge artisan technique that explores the potential and charm of this ancestral material in an innovative and contemporary way. These were the main assumptions that inspired the collections for the Salone del Mobile 2024.

The company presented new lamps and sofas collections, and environments were enriched with light, softness, and noble materials that were skilfully mixed in a play of reflections and transparencies, of textures and colours that only glass could enhance. An approach that, starting from a highly refined and sophisticated interpretation of the use of this material, combined multiple inspirations capable of creating balanced and cosy spaces, modelling exclusive environments to immerse in and lose oneself.

Passion, research and modern aesthetics inspire the Marche-based company that, in an innovative context marked by unceasing changes, continues to explore glass and its infinite meanings, rediscovering its origins rooted in the very essence of the concept of transparency.

This representation is fully embodied by Emmanuel Gallina with the Vertige table, a piece that skilfully plays with transparency and deepness and gives a strong sensation of vertigo. A fascinating contrast emerges between the immaterial lightness of glass and the consistency of wood, which perfectly accommodates the shape of the perforated top, which is suspended within the structure and evokes the sensation of vertigo. The effect of translucency, slightly mitigated by bronze or smoked glass, highlights the remarkable perception of visual delicacy.
