The ambitious project, which took 20 months to complete, utilised a staggering 3,000 tons of structural steel and involved the installation of 3,000 meters of piles. The resulting structure encompasses a gross floor area of 54,500 square meters, making it one of the largest furniture showrooms in the region. Additionally, the upper floors house new offices for the XXXL Digital department, training rooms, and the upscale XXXL Sky restaurant, providing visitors with a comprehensive shopping and dining experience.
One of the most innovative features of the new XXXLutz Group store is its underground connection to the Blau-Weiß-Linz football stadium. This facilitates seamless logistics, allowing customers to conveniently pick up their purchased items from the internal warehouse located beneath the showroom. Moreover, an underground parking garage with nearly 300 spaces offers added convenience for shoppers.
