Over the course of six decades, Gaetano Pesce has revolutionized the worlds of art, design, and architecture. However, after 84 years, the life of the iconic Italian designer has come to an end.

"Despite dealing with health-related setbacks, especially over the last year, Gaetano remained positive, playful, and always curious. His uniqueness, creativity, and special message continue through his art," reads his Instagram account.

Gaetano Pesce was an Italian architect and a design pioneer of the 20th century. Born in La Spezia in 1939, Pesce grew up in Padua and Florence. Throughout his 50-year career, Pesce worked as an architect, urban planner, and industrial designer.
