Swedish export and import trends in wooden houses

Examining the statistics from January to December 2023 against the same period in 2022 reveals notable fluctuations in the Swedish trade of prefabricated wooden houses.

Export trends
During the specified period, the total export of prefabricated wooden houses experienced a moderate decline of 8 percent, amounting to 736 million SEK. Notably, export figures to key markets underwent distinctive changes:

-Norway: Export to Norway witnessed a significant drop of 13 percent, totalling 447 million SEK.

-Germany: Conversely, there was a modest increase of 4 percent in exports to Germany, reaching 153 million SEK.

-Finland: Export to Finland saw a positive trend with a 5 percent rise, amounting to 58 million SEK.

Import trends
In contrast, the import landscape displayed more substantial shifts during the same period:

-The overall import of prefabricated wooden houses registered a notable decrease of 37 percent, totaling 1,030 million SEK.

-Import from Estonia experienced a significant decline of 46 percent, amounting to 507 million SEK.

-Lithuania witnessed a more moderate decrease of 3 percent in imports, totalling 205 million SEK.

-Import from Norway saw a remarkable decrease of 68 percent, dropping to 14 million SEK.

-Conversely, import from Finland showcased a contrasting trend, witnessing a notable increase of 16 percent, reaching approximately 213 million SEK.
