An interview with Mateusz Musioł, Director of Sales and Marketing at Ramaro:

'We are committed to continuously delighting our customers with fresh and exciting designs'

Marian Jóźwiak's transition from the fashion industry to furniture marked the inception of the Polish brand Ramaro. Founded amidst challenging times, the company, now spanning three generations, embodies a commitment to craftsmanship and quality, offering innovative furniture solutions globally while prioritising customer satisfaction and excellence. InteriorDaily recently interviewed Mateusz Musioł, Director of Sales and Marketing at Ramaro, to give us insights into the Polish furniture company.

Marian Jóźwiak initially founded his own company in the fashion industry before transitioning to furniture. Could you elaborate on this, quite significant, shift?
'During the times of the People's Republic of Poland and the newly imposed martial law, starting a company was very difficult. Nonetheless Marian Jóźwiak decided to take this bold decision. Despite unfavourable conditions, production went into full swing. However, it wasn't furniture manufacturing — it was clothing. Thanks to this, Marian had his first business encounter with upholstery fabrics. And he fell in love with them for good.

Marian's sons, Radek and Robert, later joined him in the workshop. Our company thrived fuelled by the collective passion of father and sons. As time went on, Radosław and Robert took over the reins more and more, lightening father's workload, and opened showrooms in Paczkowo and Piła. When their brother-in-law Albert joined them, they opened the doors of the workshop to the world and started selling outside Poland. And out of this passion — which has not faded for three generations — together we create works of furniture art for those who appreciate the artistry of handcraft and solidity of workmanship.'

Where does the name Ramaro come from?
'The name Ramaro is derived from the initials of Marian and his sons: Radosław, Marian, and Robert. But there's more – our logo holds a tribute to the Jóźwiak family: the distinctive loop in our 'R' was crafted by the parents of Robert and Radek in their handwriting.'

Ramaro has its own factory with professional suppliers, and partners worldwide. Can you tell us more about the work you do?
'Ramaro takes pride in owning its own factory, allowing us to maintain control over the quality of our products. We collaborate with professional raw material suppliers and partners, ensuring access to the latest technologies and trends in the furniture industry. We have implemented a certified ISO 9001 quality management system at Ramaro, guaranteeing our customers that our products are of the highest quality. Our commitment to quality extends to every stage of production, from design to delivery, and this dedication ensures that our customers receive furniture of exceptional craftsmanship and durability.'

We are primarily active in the European market, but we also export our products to other countries, such as Israel. For our company, recent years have been a time of significant growth, reaffirming our belief that good quality, design, and excellent customer service are the keys to stability in challenging times. Our expansion into international markets, like Israel, has been driven by our commitment to meeting diverse customer needs and delivering our products with the same level of excellence and customer care that we provide in Europe.'

Are there any new products launched recently or planned for 2024?
'We regularly introduce new sofa collections. We unveiled a collection in November 2023 during a trade show in Brussels, which received a very positive response from customers. We recently also introduced additional innovative products showcased at the Meble Polska trade fair. Our dedication to innovation and product development is at the core of our business strategy, and we are committed to continuously delighting our customers with fresh and exciting designs.'

What are your plans for 2024?
'We plan to participate in several important industry trade shows. It is essential for us to meet our customers regularly and present our latest innovations. These trade shows provide us with a valuable platform to connect with our existing and potential customers, gather feedback, and showcase our latest products, allowing us to strengthen our relationships and expand our reach.

Ramaro always places the highest emphasis on customer service quality and product excellence. These are crucial aspects for us that allow our customers to work with us stably and for the long term. We are committed to providing exceptional service at every touchpoint, from initial inquiries to post-purchase support, and we continuously invest in improving our processes to meet and exceed customer expectations.'
