Nikolaus Szlavik will start as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ADA Möbelwerke Holding AG, Austria's largest upholstered furniture manufacturer, on March 18, 2024. Together with the two long-serving board members, Gerhard Vorraber and Michael Wibmer, he will lead the furniture conglomerate into the future. As the new CEO, Mr. Szlavik will initially take over the production and procurement departments. Over the course of the year, he will gradually assume responsibility for the Marketing, Development, and Sales departments from Gerhard Vorraber. Mr. Vorraber will retire from his position as a board member at ADA on December 31st, after more than 43 years, and begin his retirement. Board member Michael Wibmer will continue to oversee the Finance, Human Resources, IT, Sustainability, and Quality Management departments. The transition of leadership roles has been carefully planned to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of business operations.

Mr. Szlavik brings more than 25 years of international experience in the automotive supply, electrical, and mechanical engineering industries. Originally from the operations sector, he has risen through the ranks in his career to become a General Manager and CEO with broad management responsibilities, repeatedly implementing change processes, restructurings, and turnaround measures. Over the past 15 years, Mr. Szlavik has been very successful as Managing Director & CEO for companies such as Austria Druckguss GmbH & Co KG and PIA Automation GmbH.
