Caruzzo, designed by Frans Schrofer in 2014, celebrates its 10th anniversary as a young and dynamic swivel armchair from Leolux. This iconic design was first unveiled at the international furniture fair in Cologne in January 2015, where it quickly gained recognition, including a Reddot Award.
'Dangerously fast or luxuriously slow, Caruzzo is designed for your pace on the highway of life. It exudes bold confidence and incredible elegance, with its muscular broad shoulders, inviting armrests, and the handcrafted decorative seam on the back,' says Frans Schrofer.
With its high back and characteristic 'ears', Caruzzo embodies the archetype of a comfortable swivel armchair. The curve at the back lends the design speed, while the high-quality finish is accentuated by the precious upholstery materials and the handcrafted decorative seam at the back, showcasing the craftsmanship of Leolux employees.
Caruzzo can be personalised in various ways. Customers can choose separate upholstery for the interior and exterior, such as a combination of fabric and leather. The colour of the decorative seam at the back can also be chosen to suit individual taste. Additionally, two different bases are available, and the control of the tilt mechanism can be lacquered or powder-coated in a desired colour. For extra comfort, a head cushion is available, and customers can choose from two different poufs, each with a unique design appearance.
