Hunter Douglas' screen fabric manufacturer Mermet presents new collection at R+T

Under the recently relaunched brand Mermet, the Hunter Douglas screen fabric manufacturers Mermet, Helioscreen, Copaco, and Screen Protectors are joining forces to introduce their new indoor collection at the R+T in Stuttgart from February 19 to 23. This indoor collection consists of six lines: Essentials, High Performance, Evolution, Darkening, Decorative, and Basics. With these options, customers can discover the perfect blend of style and functionality for any space and find their ideal indoor fabric.

'We have streamlined our product portfolio to consolidate our expertise and make it clearer and simpler for our customers,' says Marketing Manager Caroline Mermet. 'We now offer an extensive range of indoor sun protection fabrics with about 300 references. No matter what colour, density, or width you're looking for, you're in the right place with us.'

Two weeks ago, Hunter Douglas made a clear statement to the market by announcing that from now on, it will develop, produce, and distribute all its screen fabrics in Europe under one brand, the completely renewed Mermet. As announced, the brand-new Mermet collection of indoor sun protection fabrics is being presented for the first time at the R+T fair in Stuttgart. The collection is divided into six different lines: Essentials, High Performance, Evolution, Darkening, Decorative, and Basics.

Essentials
The Essentials represent Mermet's most valued fabrics for indoor sun protection. This collection includes the fabrics Screen Vision, M-Screen, and Panama Pro, all woven in different densities to optimally adjust the sun protection to the building's orientation. 'These are our top fabrics for indoor sun protection,' says Marketing Manager Caroline Mermet. 'Customers can enjoy unparalleled quality, proven performance, and the reputation as the best choice. With these fabrics, the end user can transform their interior in an exquisite way.'

High Performance
Mermet's most advanced fabrics can be found in the High Performance range, which offers high added value and delivers the best performance in its category in terms of glare control, temperature regulation, or acoustic comfort. Optimal, Panama Chrome+, and Acoustis 50 all have enhanced properties and uniquely contribute to thermal and visual comfort. 'Whether you're creating a new space or renovating an existing one, these high-quality fabrics can provide unparalleled added value to your interior and set a new standard for excellent performance,' says Ann Van Neer, Interior Product Manager.

Evolution
With the Evolution line, Mermet aims to embrace the future sustainably through next-generation fabrics. Designed for innovation, made for the sustainable living of tomorrow. The range includes Screen Nature, Ulterio, Zilario 3, and Sea-Tex Sterling. 'These fabrics have been carefully developed for innovation and are intended to contribute to the eco-friendly living of tomorrow, where style and consciousness seamlessly blend,' says Leo De Maeyer, Head of Product Management.

Darkening
With the Darkening range, Mermet offers a wide selection of tailor-made fabrics to optimize both the darkening and privacy in a room. This versatile range offers customisable solutions and ensures a perfect blend of functionality and style. This range includes Kibo, Flocké, Karellis, Opac Plain, and Ruka.

Decorative
In addition to the more functional technical textiles, Mermet also introduces a highly decorative range. This range is designed to decorate an interior with fabrics featuring unique designs. They add personality and create an exclusive atmosphere that reflects the end user's signature style. Panama Deco, Impressions, Abu Dhabi, Oslo, Pentagrama, and Riyadh are each unique in their own way. 'You can really enhance your interior with our enchanting decorative fabrics, each with a unique design,' says Anna Martinez, Product Manager for the Decorative range.

Basics
Mermet also offers a Basic range to appeal to a very price-conscious audience. This includes Natté PES in four density grades and Shadow 24. These fabrics are designed to beautify an interior with simple, cost-effective solutions that provide reliable performance. Thanks to the high fire resistance, Shadow 24 is also suitable for high-speed trains.

By the end of 2024, at the latest by the beginning of 2025, a completely new collection of outdoor screen fabrics will also be launched under the Mermet brand name.
