Juan Carlos Muñoz Melero, president of the National Association of Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters of Spain (Anieme), passed away last Friday, February 16, after a brief illness.
'Our president since 2008, a tireless companion in the battle in the furniture sector, has left us on February 16th. His entire Anieme "family" feels deeply saddened, and we already miss him dearly,' Anieme mentions.

'There have been many years of shared projects, dedication, and efforts to defend and strengthen our Spanish furniture industry in all markets where we saw interesting opportunities for Anieme companies. His perseverance, professionalism, and energy, as well as his kindness and smile, have accompanied us in the moments when we had to fight harder, and in the more relaxed, social, and varied situations that arose while travelling through so many countries.
With companies in the sector, with colleagues, with public organisations, and sector representatives, he has always been at the forefront to achieve the best for "Furniture from Spain" and the furniture industry.
Thank you very much, Juan Carlos, for all those years of learning, comradeship, and dedication to the association. We will always carry you in our hearts.'
