The insolvency proceedings of German kitchen worktop manufacturer, D. Lechner GmbH, initiated on January 1, 2024, at the Ansbach District Court, marked a significant turning point for the renowned brand. Dr. Hubert Amperl, the appointed insolvency administrator, had already signalled asset insufficiency on January 3, 2023, hinting at the challenges ahead. It became increasingly evident that Lechner would undergo substantial changes to its operational structure.

Initially, there was interest from potential investors in acquiring the glass production division, offering a glimmer of hope for a partial continuation of operations. However, as time progressed, it became clear that such a sale would not materialise, leaving the fate of the company in uncertainty. Despite the setbacks, the Lechner brand however perseveres.
