Founder Martin Jalaber of the French brand Shape:

'We want to provide the most uptrend of interior design furniture to a large audience'

Shape is a dedicated partner for product-driven homeware supply.
They are designers, explorers, economists, logisticians, all driven by an obsession: making design happen. Born in France and operating worldwide, their creativity and savoir-faire know no frontiers.

'We are trendsetters because we want to surprise our customers and show them products they never imagine for their market. Our wood & linen MURMUR collection shown on last IMM is a good example: it attracted lots of people on our booth, surprised many and no equivalent was seen among other direct exhibitors. After all these years of mix of wood and cannage, we are among the first to show mix of wood and fabric and we believe many will follow,' says founder Martin Jalaber.

High-volume market
SHAPE remains focused on the mid-range and high-volume market (each production batch is not less than 30pcs and up to 200 pcs for best sellers) and want to provide the most uptrend of interior design furniture to a large audience. 'We can achieve that by selecting designers that have proven to design best sellers on our market. Our product and marketing team will drive our creation by inspiring from the most relevant trends based on three criteria: talk to the most, focus on functionality and be technically realistic. Our product development team will stay close our craftmanship, perfectly understand it and even challenge it; and that way will ensure to finalize a ready product within couple of months only. This supply chain organization requires us to have office in Europe to feel and understand the trends and our market, as well in Asia to ensure our great product ideas become sellable products for the most. This virtuous cycle is motioned by a small team of key and experienced people, which is align with our general philosophy: fewer but better.'

This is the meaning to 'make design happen': inspired by the greatest but down to earth to make design a reality for most because we believe design shapes the beauty of everyday life.

imm cologne
'Our participation to the last imm cologne was indeed quite successful: we were able to demonstrate our different know-hows from living environment to dining, bedroom, kids & bathroom, while every of our creation caught visitors attention:

-MURMUR range for its audacious combination of wood and linen, it plays with the elegance of the hotel business, bringing warmth and softness to your interior.

-PIET range that pays tribute to the famous Bauhaus art movement. The facades are designed as a canvas made up of different layers and geometric shapes.

-PEBBLE & its organic touch, inspired by the elements of nature, it stands out for its softness, roundness and generosity.

-ANDY range as a reminiscence of Art Nouveau

We are also thankful to our co-branding collaboration with Isidore Leroy that contributed to make our booth outstanding.'
