Danish furniture brand BoConcept has collaborated with the global architectural studio BIG

Danish furniture brand BoConcept has collaborated with the global architectural studio BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) to launch a unique collection named "Nawabari." This marks the first time BoConcept has partnered with an Italian designer, emphasizing the shared Danish design tradition and the ambition to democratize design. The collection, led by BIG Products Head Jakob Lange, draws inspiration from Japanese rope art, aiming to create interpersonal connections. The term "Nawa" means rope in Japanese, and "Nawabari" translates to stretching the rope.

The Nawabari collection is designed for both outdoor and indoor use, featuring a distinctive green color that seamlessly blends with natural surroundings. The pieces, including sofas, chairs, coffee tables, and poufs, showcase sculptural and organic shapes created by tying materials with ropes. The collection prioritizes simplicity and elegance, combining BoConcept's design principles with BIG's futuristic aesthetics.

Notably, the Nawabari collection is sustainable, with products like sofas, chairs, and poufs certified Greenguard for the Blend fabric (coming soon). This certification ensures low chemical emissions, promoting better indoor air quality. The Blend fabric also holds the EU Ecolabel and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certifications, indicating the absence of harmful substances.

The collection, adaptable to various projects, will be available in BoConcept stores in Warsaw and Poznań from March. BoConcept emphasizes its commitment to timeless designs, while BIG brings a fresh, informal, and playful approach to the collaboration. The Nawabari collection reflects a unique fusion of cultural and design forces.
