Monitillo1980, a Made-in-Italy company that has specialised in the processing of marble, granite and stone for over forty years, participated in the Maison&Objet2024 fair in January.
The protagonists of the exhibition were the collections of two prestigious international designer studios - Studiopepe and Atelier Daaa. Their stylistic features characterise two different ambiences inspired by minimalistic aesthetics highlighting the veins and elegance of marble and travertine.

The City Collection designed by Studiopepe is an expression of soft yet precise geometrics. The line includes dining tables, consoles, stools and accessories evoking skylines refined in their design and rooted in the earth.
Like at the theatre, a curtain leads the visitor into the second interior that sets the scene for the Atelier Daaa’s exhibit – the novel Ville Collection. Its linear style with rounded corners aims to simplify the way spaces are interpreted by focusing on the use of quintessential materials.
This space recalls a dining room where marble plays the starring role –this dining table with a matching bench connects with unique totem-like sculptures made of travertine and brown stone. A coffee table and a console complete the set.

Monitillo1980’s production can also be discovered through the Walls&Floors line where framed samples depict a play with tactility, exploring the many textures of marble for wall panelling. Among these are the collections designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune such as Vela with its smooth dynamic modules and Parallelo featuring lines and grooves that give off an unexpected play of light. Punto by designer Andrea Maffei features round metal accents integrated into the marble surfaces, thereby creating intriguing geometric patterns with a combination of different materials. Monitillo1980’s collections narrate the story of matter and its range of features, blending creativity, elegance and innovation.
