This year, Dille & Kamille is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Founder Freek Kamerling wanted to inspire people to consciously enjoy and live with attention through "natural simplicity". This vision is still the driving force behind the family business five decades later. To mark the anniversary year, Dille & Kamille is introducing a number of limited edition items each season. There will also be an anniversary edition of the iconic Dille & Kamille canvas bag.

In 1974, founder Freek Kamerling had a clear vision: to offer a counterpoint to the emerging disposable society with "natural simplicity". In his first store on the Oudegracht in Utrecht, customers could find timeless items made of natural materials such as earthenware, wood, and reed. Kamerling also critically observed the lack of attention that emerged in the 70's. With Dille & Kamille, he wanted to inspire people to reconnect with themselves and others and enjoy small, everyday moments. Today, Dille & Kamille has 46 stores in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.
In 1974, the first Dille & Kamille store opened its doors in a wharf cellar on the Oudegracht in Utrecht.
Consciously enjoying and living with attention
Since its inception, the ideals and philosophy of Dille & Kamille have remained unchanged. This is not only reflected in the range of products and long-term collaborations with suppliers but also in initiatives like Green Friday and Dille & Kamille's certification as a B-corp.

We will continue to inspire customers, including in Germany where we will be opening several stores in the coming years. New locations are also planned in Belgium and the Netherlands. And a great milestone, we will open the 50th Dille & Kamille store this year.'
Limited edition items winter edition To celebrate the 50th anniversary, Dille & Kamille is releasing a number of limited edition items each season. This winter, these include mugs featuring the iconic facades of the Dille & Kamille stores, a festive blend of tea specially composed for Dille & Kamille, and a signature fragrance line: Eau de Dille.
Facade mugs (see photo): All Dille & Kamille stores have a unique facade. Especially for the 50th anniversary, each Dille & Kamille now has its own mug featuring the facade of the store.
Festive blend: Together with the tea sommelier of Wilder Land, Dille & Kamille has developed a festive blend with (un)weeds that increase biodiversity. Including liquorice plant and chamomile.
Eau de Dille: The moment you enter a Dille & Kamille store, you immediately smell the delightful scent of herbs, dried flowers, and soap. Dille & Kamille has captured this scent in a scented candle and scent sticks "Eau de Dille".
