The new Loya model from Leolux is based on the principle of soft mass

At imm cologne, Leolux unveiled their new model, Loya, a sofa that generously welcomes you, according to insiders. 'Refined and full of exquisite details. You recognise Loya by its generous dimensions and the appearance of total softness. You can comfortably lounge in it,' says spokesperson Antal NĂ©meth.

The furniture is the creation of designers Kate and Joel Booy from Studio Truly Truly. They based their design on the principle of "soft mass": assigning volume to a two-dimensional material. The design takes straight, geometric shapes and expands them into a composition of soft blocks that offer you unconditional comfort.

In the Leolux exhibition stand, the Loya collection had a prominent place, as can be seen in the photo above. What immediately stands out about this model are the overhanging arm and backrests. Because they are slightly tilted, they form an open invitation to sit down. A pronounced piping runs throughout the entire design. 'A generous saddle stitch, applied by the all-rounders in the Leolux workshop. The piping creates a beautiful line and is also placed in such a way that you don't feel it when you're enjoying your well-deserved relaxation on the sofa. Loya connects with the ground via an upholstered platform. This is set back a little further than the seat and can be executed in a different material than the rest of the sofa. This gives Loya a very personal twist.'

Customers can choose from a variety of options including sofas, standalone divans, two different poufs, and a large number of modular elements. There are also accessories for extra comfort, such as the headrest (which can be placed on both the back and armrest) and an arm roll.
