An Amazon spokesperson states that the strike will cause 'zero disruption' for customers. Amazon adds that starting from April, the minimum starting wage will increase from £12.30 to £13 per hour.

Amazon has faced strikes in various countries throughout the year, primarily driven by demands for higher wages and safer working conditions. There was the 'traditional' Black Friday strike in Germany, and in November, hundreds of employees across England went on strike at Amazon, also over wage-related issues. Last summer, the company received criticism from the U.S. government for violating labor laws in its distribution centers.
