Swiss holding company Hape, a major player in the global toy manufacturing industry, has acquired an 85% stake in Deko Rame, the largest furniture manufacturer in Sibiu County, central Romania. The deal includes the sale of shares from the Swedish group Stommen, which held a 55% stake in Deko Rame.
Deko Rame reported a turnover exceeding RON 50 million (EUR 10 million) in 2022 and is known for its collaborations with IKEA, as well as two other Swedish furniture manufacturers, Furninova, and Spirit of Ultimate Lifestyle (SOUL).
The sale involved the transfer of shares from current owners Stommen (55%), Ioan Constantin Morariu (20%), who retains a 10% stake, and Gabriel Gheorghe Morariu (10%). Diana Viorela Matei remains a shareholder with a 5% stake in the company.
