GANTlights and +kouple create collection of which the proceeds go to Ukraine

Stefan Gant, the founder of the Berlin-based brand GANTlights, was deeply shocked by Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine and reached out, saying that he happened to come across the +kouple label and immediately felt a connection.

'The idea of creating a product together and using the proceeds to benefit the Ukrainian people naturally responded to the desire to help actively. We firmly believe collaboration and solidarity are crucial in such difficult times', shares Stefan.

The major part of the income would be used to purchase evacuation vehicles that will serve in the Donetsk region.

Dan Vakhrameyev derived his design idea for the BLOCK lamp from a concrete building block commonly used in construction, but since the full-scale invasion, it served to form a defence barrier on the roads all over Ukraine. Hence, those concrete blocks have become significantly recognised urban units of cities' landscapes.

Creating a table lamp, Dan foresees a few types of placing it: horizontally or vertically. Besides, the back metal panel of the BLOCK table lamp has an additional option to hang it on the wall, providing an alternative for adjusting the common space light in the interior.

Another variation is a pendant lamp with a unique textile suspension implemented in the +kouple BLT collection.

Fully supporting Ukrainian-based suppliers, +kouple produces metal shade in Ternopil, electric cord in Vinnytsia, textile belt in Kharkiv, and powder-coated paint in Kyiv.

'We are able to continue running our brand today only due to the daily heroism of our bravest Ukrainian defenders, who selflessly sacrifice their lives fighting for freedom. Ukraine's victory will provide further momentum to democratic movements all over the world and demonstrate that democracy is worth fighting for', the brand explains.
