German kitchen manufacturer Warendorf Küchen has filed for bankruptcy for the fourth time in the past nine years and is now in real danger of extinction.
Hopes for a positive turnaround for Warendorf Küchen through the takeover by the Hülsta investor group in November were suddenly crushed. On December 19, the renowned kitchen manufacturer had to file for bankruptcy for the fourth time at the Münster court - another bitter setback for the company. The luxury manufacturer already faced financial problems in 2015, 2019 and 2022.
The case is now in the hands of curator Stephan Michels, who faces the enormous challenge of steering the fate of the company. The director of sales/marketing/product development at Hülsta, Dr. Michael Spadinger, who initially approached the rescue optimistically, soon had to face reality. The company from Warendorf was faced with an outdated machine park and a lack of a substantial base - any prospect of a successful future seemed virtually impossible, reports Möbel Kultur.

Despite the approaching end of production in Warendorf, there is still interest in the Hülsta Group's kitchen. The new kitchens are now being produced in Stadtlohn and are expected to be on the market in the autumn. Production at Warendorf, on the other hand, is apparently halted, but the hope that the company name will survive remains.
Jeffrey Wang, representative of the former investment company and owner of the trademark rights, is interested in keeping the traditional brand name alive. This could mean that Warendorf could enjoy renewed success in export markets such as the United Kingdom and China. While new orders are already being prepared, a suitable production location is still being sought - an important decision for the future of Warendorf Küchen.
