Bogdan and Elżbieta Kaczmarek, partnering with Innova Capital through their investment vehicle Breticontic Investments, have agreed to acquire 100% of Pfleiderer Polska from Pfleiderer Group, owned by Strategic Value Partners' managed funds. The transaction, set to close in H1 2024, awaits regulatory approvals. Pfleiderer Polska, a premium wood-based panel producer with sustainability focus, operates three facilities. Pfleiderer Group, fully owned by Strategic Value Partners, is the current parent company. Bogdan and Elżbieta Kaczmarek, private investors and owners of Central European furniture and mattress manufacturers, join forces with Innova Capital in this deal, the fourth under Innova/7 fund, raising over €350m in the past year.
The consortium's combined strengths aim to leverage Pfleiderer Polska's local market recognition and foster growth, especially in green initiatives. The company, already a leader in post-consumer-recycled wood use, plans to enhance this sourcing strategy. Strategic Value Partners and Pfleiderer Group received financial advice from Rothschild & Co, with Kirkland & Ellis as legal advisor. Greenberg Traurig served as legal advisor for Bogdan and Elżbieta Kaczmarek and Innova Capital.
