InArea Group has entered into an agreement to acquire shares in BL-Interiör AB, thus welcoming the company into its group. The acquisition of BL-Interiör's shares solidifies an already strong position in northern Sweden, as the company is currently the leading player in the Umeå market. Previous owners, Olov Persson and Daniel Fajers, will retain their current positions within the company and will also maintain a significant indirect ownership in the company. BL-Interiör had a turnover of approximately SEK 80 million during the last fiscal year and employs over 40 staff members.
Established in 1983 and headquartered in Umeå, Västerbotten, BL-Interiör primarily engages in traditional floor and tiling contracts, boasting a strong presence through various assignments for municipalities, construction, and real estate companies in the region. BL-Interiör will continue to operate as an independent entity in Umeå, complementing InArea Group's existing operations in the region. The company has experienced strong growth in recent years and has been recognised for its progressive efforts in creating a more sustainable flooring contracting industry. The share acquisition agreement was reached on December 14, 2023, with the shares set to be transferred in January 2024.
