Electrolux, the Swedish appliance maker, has established a task force to mitigate the impact of maritime attacks affecting its shipments along the primary East-West trade route.
The measures implemented by Electrolux include the identification of time-sensitive deliveries and the exploration of alternative routes if necessary.
Recent attacks on vessels by Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis have disrupted global trade along the most direct shipping route between Europe and Asia, constituting approximately 15% of the world's shipping traffic.
Electrolux has collaborated with major shipping companies such as Maersk and CMA, both of which temporarily halted Red Sea shipments following missile attacks on their vessels.
